Near the place where the tannery (Lues) of the Manasses family used to be, a monument has been placed. On March 22, 1942, the Jewish population of Heinsberg and surroundings were brought together in the tannery. From here they were taken to a camp near Eschweiler (Aachen). From there they are on tram sports to extermination camps. When and to which camps is unknown.
