This monument in memory of the victims of the Second World War was erected in 1949. The monument also serves as a headstone. On the back are the names and photos of the war victims.
A combination of a war memorial (on the street side) and a burial vault (on the side of the cemetery) is unique in Belgium.
Text on the front along the street: "IN GOD’S / PEACE / THEY LIVE / FOR THE / PEACE / WE WORK / 1940 - 1945"
On the back along the cemetery: six memorial plaques with the names of 7 war victims.

DECLOEDT Georges, soldier Brigade Piron 1 Bn, victim of a train collision. He died on 13 August 1945 in the British General Hospital in Hau, North Rhine-Westphalia (G).
