Memorial Kolbe - Leisner

In 1995, a memorial was erected at the intersection of two residential areas in the Alstätte district, in memory of Maximilian Kolbe and Karl Leisner, both priests. The monument was designed by the sculptor Joseph Krautwald. Kolbe and Leisner both died a martyr's death during the 2nd World War.

The monument consists of 2 parts of columns with in bronze the figures of Kolbe on the left and Leisner on the right with an inscription;

Under the bronze figure of Maximilian Kolbe it reads: "Love is stronger than hate" and under the figure of Karl Leisner "Christ my passion".
