Monument Uprising in Montenegro

Monument in memory of the uprising in Montenegro.

The Montenegro Uprising, commonly known as the July 13 Uprising, was an uprising against the Italian occupation forces in Montenegro. Initiated by the Communist Party of Yugoslavia on July 13, 1941, it was suppressed within six weeks, but continued at a much lower intensity until the Battle of Pljevlja on December 1, 1941.
