Labor Camp Westpolder

Internment camp 1945 - October 1948. The camp was located between Westpolder number 15 and 18.

1939 (?) barracks camp built for the Werkverruiming Service (DUW), popularly known as the employment provision. In 1940 a doctor describes this camp: "The camp in Westpolder can accommodate about 300 workers and has 2 cooks.."
