Belgian War Graves Lanaken

The cemetery in Lanaken contains the grave of a military victim of the Second World War. It concerns MARTING Léon, who died in captivity in Isenbüttel (G) on 22 January 1941.
There are the graves of civilian victims of the Second World War. It concerns BECKERS Jean-Chretien, deported, died in Munich (G) on 17 November 1944 and VRANCKEN Hubert, resistance fighter, executed in Antwerp on 7 January 1944.
There are about 10 graves of civilians who were victims of aerial bombardments on 14 January 1944.

Also here: Henri Elise Lambert Giddelo born May 23, 1894, and died May 10, 1940, was captain-commander of the 5th Company Grenswielrijders. Henri Giddelo died at 4:30 a.m. on May 10, 1940, along with five other soldiers when the Luftwaffe bombed his command post at Lanaken. A memorial in his honor stands in the center of Lanaken on the Molenweideplein.
