Pyramide de Mémoire

To celebrate the transition to the year 2000, a pyramid, the work of the artist-sculptor Pascal Morabito, was placed on the castle grounds. Its originality lies in the fact that it contains exactly 2,000 memory objects, mainly remnants of the Second World War. Made from sand from nearby beaches which were the landing sites during D-Day. Due to natural erosion of the components, these objects will reappear.
It was inaugurated at the turn of the millennium on December 31, 1999.
