Memorial to the crew of the B26 Marauder bomber "Hearse For Six" that crashed on April 13, 1944 in l Étang-Bertrand. The B26 Marauder took part in a mission to Le Havre, but had a technical problem on its way back that separated it from the squadron; Lost in a cloud formation, the plane was flying over the Cotentin when it was shot down by a German anti-aircraft battery.
