Memorial Crash Site B-17G

This memorial was erected in remembrance of the crash landing on 3 February 1945 of an American bomber B-17G Flying Fortress returning from a bombing raid over Berlin. The B-17 - identification number 2102954Q - belonged to the 457 Bomb Group based in Glatton (UK).
The crew members survived this crash.
