Memorial Cross Mine Shaft Simmerath
At a distance of 100 meters on top of the hill, 22 American soldiers were killed in the battle inside the mine shaft. One of them was Ernie William Little, born on December 1, 1918 and died on January 30 1945, in Huppenbroich.
