War Memorial Le Roeulx

The war memorial in Le Roeulx commemorates the military and civilian victims of the First and Second World War. The monument also mentions the names of the veterans of the First World War.
Inscriptions (translation) : "1914 LE ROEULX 1918 / TO HIS HEROES / TO HIS MARTYRS"
"LIÈGE / HAELEN / EPPEGHEM / YSER / HOUTHULST" refer to battles and battles of the Belgian army.

Killed deportees : DELCROIX J., DESTREE H., GOSEE J., LARDINOIS G., PAINDAVOINE H., SCAUFLAIRE A.
After World War II, the names of the fallen and civilian victims were added to the memorial.
TRICOT Marcel, Poesele 27 May 1940; MARIN Raymond, Nevele 26 May 1940; RUYSCHAERT Victor, Bruges 30 May 1940; TISON Gaston, Maldegem 26 May 1940; CASTERMAN Frédéric, Bruges 28 May 1940; MAES Emile, died in captivity in Stettin (D), 19 December 1942; GODEFROIT Joseph; DELHAYE Rene; BARBIOT Jules, shot at Leobschutz (D).

Old postcards of the monument feature a bronze angel. However, the statue has disappeared, taken away by the municipality or stolen? An internet search yields no results.
