Norman French Resistance Monument - Ste-Marie-du-Mont

The NFRM was founded at the initiative of Captain Joseph Ivanov, US Special Forces and sponsored by Operation Democracy, a charity based in Locust Valley, New York. It was inaugurated on June 5, 2021.
The Normandy French Resistance Monument wishes to pay tribute to the French Resistance that played a hugely important role in the operations in Normandy and the liberation of France.
The monument encompasses the three components of the Resistance:
The man symbolizes the guerrilla the armed struggle, the young woman the help, support and mutual communication and the boy the underground, the secret.
