The cemetery in La Louvière contains numerous Belgian war graves of military and civilian victims of the two world wars. There is a plot of honor, other graves are scattered throughout the cemetery.
These are the graves of soldiers, civilians, resistance fighters, prisoners of war and political prisoners who lost their lives during the First and Second World War.
There are also graves of civilian victims of allied bombing during the Second World War. The population was particularly affected by the attempts of Allied aviation to bomb the Haine-St-Pierre station.
