Memorial Site Le Petit Maquis

« Le Petit Maquis », symbol of the liberation of Ecaussinnes 40-45, is a memorial park in honor of the Secret Army and the resistance group G.
Fourteen individual memorial stones with the names of resistance fighters, including the year of death.

COPPENS Augustinus, died in deportation in Dora-Mittelbau (G) on 14 March 1945
DEFRERE Maurice, shot by the Germans in Naast on 10 May 1944
DESCHUYTENEER Richard, died in deportation in Germany in 1945
GOURDANGE Raymond, died in deportation in Germany in 1945
MARY Anselme, shot by the Germans in Ronquières on 3 September 1944
ROB Auguste, died in deportation in Neuengamme (G) on May 1945
ROUSSEAU René, shot by the Germans in Ecaussinnes-Enghien on 9 June 1944
TAMINIAUX Gérard, died in deportation in Mauthausen (G) on 3 March 1945
TONDEUR Victor, executed in Charleroi on 24 August 1944
VAN DER BURCH Yves, died in deportation in Plattling, Bayern (D) on 16 March 1945
