Villa Sandhaghe
This villa was built in 1907.
On 20th April 1942 the 36-year old Rudolf Petersen got the new role of Führer der Schnellboote (FdS). From this location he commanded fourteen flotillas of eight motortorpedoships and an accompiniying ship which sailed from Rotterdam, Oostende and Boulonge. When the HQ of the Führer der Schnellboote moved to Germany in 1944, the villa was taken over by the Seekommandant Mittelholland.
