MKB Blankenese (named after a district of Hamburg) is also known under the names Batterie de Néville and Batterie de Caqueret (hamlet of Néville).
Construction started in 1942 and was manned by the 2nd battery of Marine-Artillerie-Abteilung 260.
The main armament consisted of 4 captured British Q.F. 94mm Vickers anti-aircraft guns.
Until 1944, bunkers were added, such as the M272, M158 and R501SK casemates.
On June 18, 1944, the garrison retreated to Cherbourg.
The bunkers are located on the beach and are easily accessible via the D514
