Outbuilding, Workshop or vehicle storage Nordlager II Fliegerhorst Venlo
An outbuilding on the Nordlager II. The exact function of this building is unknown, but a clear 'gate' can be seen at the front. Presumably this was a workshop or vehicle shed of one of the airfield's support vehicles.
In all likelihood it plummets, as evidenced by the holes in the ground that give access to an underground space. One of the most beautiful details of this building shows the human aspect in times of war.
A toilet roll holder is still visible in a fallen piece of wall. The same type of container can also be found in the cellars of the Officers Casino which is located on Nordlager I.
A salient detail is that the roof of this building was covered with roof tiles from the company 'Valk/J Meuwissen' from Echt, the Netherlands.
Unfortunately, this piece of historical heritage has also been discovered by 'graffiti artists'.
