In the fall of 1942, HKB 282 was installed at Gatteville. In 1943 it was renamed Stützpunkt 152 HKB Gatteville and fell under the 7th battery of Heeres-Küsten-Artillerie-Regiment 1261.
Main armament were six French 15.5 cm K420(f) guns (Canon de 155 L modele 1916 Saint-Chamond) in open emplacements
Four of these were, in the year 1944, housed in R679 bunkers.
The bunkers (R679, R607, R502, R134 F58c Tobruks) are on private land, some have even been converted into holiday homes, but can be viewed from a short distance.
