German-Italian Memorial Cemetery Fort McClellan

This cemetery contains the graves of 29 prisoners of war from the Second World War: 26 Germans and two Italians. The POWs died in the Fort McClellan POW camp. Ab-lingual ceremony is held at the monument each year in November, sponsored by the German conulate in New Orleans, LA and the local German Club in Anniston.
