Minter Field Airport District

Minter Field Airport District was established in June 1941 as Bakersfield Air Corps Flying School, an AAF training field for American (and later Chinese) pilots. There was also a prisoner of war camp here for about 600 internees. Several WW2 structures are still standing here. Minter Fields auxiliary fields:
