Long Beach Terminal Island "San Pedro"

This area was the epicenter of military activity in the Los Angeles area during World War II. Several naval facilities (including Naval Air Station San Pedro), shipbuilding and repair facilities, docks, wharves, Coast Guard facilities, supply depots, and active oil fields were located along the coast.
