Pomona Assembly Center / Pomona Ordnance Depot

Pomona Assembly Center was a transit camp for ethnic Japanese from May 7 to August 24, 1942. During that period, 5434 people were detained here. The camp was taken over by the Army's Ordnance Motor Transport Agency on September 4, 1942 under the new name "Pomona Ordnance Depot". The depot also had a POW camp for about 1150 POWs.
