Naval Construction Battalion Center Port Hueneme

Naval Construction Battalion Center Port Hueneme was an Advanced Base Depot (ABD) during World War II to supply the Navy construction battalions (SeaBees) in the Pacific. The base was expanded during the war and could accommodate up to 21,00 base personnel and SeaBees in trainig. The docks could handle 9 cargo ships and two tank landing crafts simultaneously.
