Sacramento Assembly Center

Sacramento Assembly Center was a transit camp for ethnic Japanese from May 6 to June 26, 1942. The camp was located in a former migrant camp east of McClelland AFB. The camp housed 4739 civilians during its existence. Sacaramento Assembly Center was surrendered to the U.S. on July 30, 1942. Army's Signal Corps transferred.
