Fort Rosecrans

Fort Rosecrans was a 19th century fort built on the remains of forts from earlier periods, up to the Spanish era (1700's). During World War II, this fort was the headquarters of the Coastal Defense of San Diego. After the war, the fort became part of a naval base.
