Ammunition Storagebuilding nr 6

The vast majority of the ammunition stock of Fliegerhorst Venlo was located in the Südlager. Here the ammunition was stored in ammunition pits, small bunkers or small (3 x 3 mtr) buildings. The latter were so-called Munitionshäuser. The somewhat more vulnerable and moisture-sensitive light trail and armored fire ammunition for the on-board weapons of the night fighters were stored here.
Remains of those small buildings can still be found at six locations. They are the southernmost current remnants of Fliegerhorst Venlo.

Two wall parts can still be seen at this location. The window and ventilation grilles are still visible in the wall sections.
There are also numerous ammunition pits in the immediate vicinity of these buildings.
This house is also the southernmost remnant of Fliegerhorst Venlo, which is still somewhat standing.
