War Memorial Péronnes-lez-Binche

The war memorial at Péronnes-lez-Binche commemorates the military and civilian victims of the First World War. The monument mentions GRAVIS Alphonse, Mayor of Péronnes-lez-Binche who was executed by the Germans on 22 August 1914.

After the Second World War, a memorial plaque was added with the names of the fallen soldiers, the killed political prisoners, deportees and resistance fighters.

At the monument is a plaque commemorating the 30th anniversary of the liberation of the concentration camps (1945-1975).
