Slot Zuylen has been owned by the noble family of Tuyll van Serooskerken since the 17th century. Lucile Agnes Baroness van Tuyll van Serooskerken-Baroness van Lynde, who owned the castle during the German occupation, left some people in hiding in her castle. In 2020, the family organized the exhibition "'Baroness in wartime'.
During the war, a drama took place nearby. The English aviator Sgt. Richard Huke fell to his death 200 meters from the castle due to a technical defect with his parachute in June, 1943. He is the only allied serviceman killed in the Zuilen municipality.
The castle is open for visitors.
