Belgian Graves Veterans Bicnhe

The cemetery in Binche contains plots of honour with the graves of veterans, former resistance fighters, former prisoners of war and political prisoners of the First and the Second World War. Other graves of veterans are scattered throughout the cemetery.

There is a separate plot for the deportees of the First World War. The German occupiers deported 615 citizens of Binche. Of these, about 15 did not survive the deportation, while about a hundred others died in the following ten years. They were weakened or affected by diseases they contracted during their detention in the German labour camps.
