Bunker 2 in the Eigenbilzen-Briegden sector is one of the remaining bunkers on the Albert Canal. The bunkers were intended to bring the enemy under fire the moment they wanted to cross the canal with pontoon bridges or boats. The bunkers were equipped with two machine guns. To make the front walls less vulnerable, the embrasures for the machine guns came in the side walls. The observation gap at the front could be covered with an armor plate.
