Memorial Bench Zwolle

The Memorial Bench relates to the loving treatment of boys and men who were transported to Zwolle from the offices, factories and shops of Hengelo, Enschede and Oldenzaal by raids by the occupying forces.

The text on the bench reads:

‘THANKS TO ZWOLLE
FOR HELP AND HOSPITALITY DURING
THE DARK DAYS OF
SEPTEMBER 1944 TO APRIL 1945
HENGELO ENSCHEDE OLDENZAAL'
