Subcamp of Camp Erika.
Before the war, Kamp Junne was a job creation camp of the Dutch Heidemaatschappij. Unemployed workers were employed in reclamation work in the area.
The map on photo 2 was drawn by Gerard Schampers and sent home from Camp Junne on 9 May 1943. Schampers was one of the many students who, after refusing the declaration of loyalty, were sent to Camp Erika to be put to work in Germany from there. Camp Erika was so full that a number of students were sent to Junne subcamp three kilometers away.
The following buildings were indicated on the map by Schampers:
- A: Canteen
- B: Kitchen
- C: K.K. room [Kontroll-Kommando, the camp guards]
- D: Infirmary
- E, H, I: W.C.
- F, N: Laundry room
- G, K, L: Barracks
- M: Prison room
