Crashsite P-47 Thunderbolt 42-8626 'Nuissance'

Saturday 13 November 1943 an American escort fighter, the P-47D Thunderbolt, serial number 42-8626, "Nuisance" crashed on this location. The 26-year-old 2nd Lieutenant John Lanphier was killed.
In memory of this event, this information panel was placed by the Historical Circle Dalfsen in the context of 75 years of liberation.
