Memorial Place d´Albert Aldenhoven

On the "Alte Turm" in Aldenhoven hangs a plaque commemorating the twinning between Aldenhoven and Albert (France). The inscription reads: Death and destruction, 1793/94 Battle of Aldenhoven, Austrians and Prussian-French, 1870/71 Franco-German War, 1914/18 I. World War, 1939/45 II. World War, 1981/82 Albert-Aldenhoven Partnership. The 1793/94 Battle of Aldenhoven is also on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
