Located at a strategic height in the middle of the plain, the old village of La Laupie, gradually abandoned at the beginning of the 20th century, suffered the final blow during the battle of Montélimar (end of August 1944) with a deluge of 650 shells fired by the German and US military. Not far from there, the village of Bonlieu had become a buffer zone between the opponents.
Next to the old village, a new village has arisen.
The old village has now almost been restored to its former glory
