This monument is located in the hamlet of Sarolay, part of the town of Argenteau (municipality of Visé). It commemorates the fallen who came from the village.
A resident was executed in 1916 (The Germans shot civilians they suspected of resistance or shot at passing German troops, so-called franc-tireurs)
A soldier from the village died of his wounds sustained in the 1st World War in 1919
A lieutenant from the village died 4 days before the capitulation on May 28, 1940.
At the bottom of the monument is written: Argenteau a ses enfants. Argenteau to his children.
