Memorial Franz Bonsang

This is a monument to a fallen soldier from Fort Barchon; Franz Bonsang.

He was killed in action May 12, 1940 at the attack of bunker BM 3.

Bunker BM 3 was part of sector Barchon-Meuse of the 2nd line of defense for the city of Liège. La Position Fortifiée de Liège 2, PFL 2.

Bunker BM 3 is located 300 m to the north at the backyard of a house (object not yet published on this site).

Translation:

Fallen on this location at May 12th 1940 at the field of honnour,
