Mathieu Steenebrugen was only 16 years old. Born in Wandre. According to his tombstone he left mother, father and brothers/ siters.
Why he was picked out remains a question. What danger could the Germans have feared from a 16 years old boy, nearing the end of the war?
A sad story.
