Memorial Camp Arnoldsweiler Merzenich

At the intersection of the L264 and the L257, this meorial is placed in memory of the Arnoldsweiler camp. When the camp cemetery was excavated in 1960, a total of 1552 dead were found, most of them Russian POWs and civilian workers. About 500 who died in the main camp were transferred to the Soviet war cemetery in Simmerath-Rurberg.
