The War Memorial of Bad Gastein is located in the so-called Martin Luther Park. It was founded by a local association. The monument stands next to the Evangelical Church.
The monument can be reached via a large staircase made of Vorarlberg stone slabs. The stone of the monument is made of a piece of East Tyrolean serpentine and was built in 1980 by the aforementioned association which also maintains it.
