Bunker Radar Station Weldam "Stellung Kröte"

The Stellung Kröte was part of the air defense in Twente and the area behind it together with Stellung Fox (near Twente airport).
Little is visible of Stellung Kröte, the foundations of Würzburg and Freya radar systems have been preserved for a long time but were probably cleared away in the 1970s. Currently, only the air raid shelter on the Weldam estate is still visible. The bunkers are brickwork and finished with concrete. It has ventilation openings and the entrance is protected with a wall against flying shards.
