This particular bunker sits on a former milatiry base in the center of te town of Visé. The base was left abolished. Since 1982 it provides accomodation for a primary school named after Lieutenant Jacquemin who was k.i.a. on May 24th 1940. On the base were stationed the so called 'cyclistes frontières' (border cyclists). They would use bicycles to gard parameters and move between the bunkers in the sector of Visé and nearby secors.
On the base there were 4 bunkers from line PFL 3, sector Visé. Bunkers Vi 6, Vi 6-2, Vi 7 en Vi 7-2. Bunkers Vi 7 and Vi 7-2 were demolished after the war. Thy were on the front site of the base, near the entrance.
This is the small type bunker. Because the bunkers was on the site of the bas it is well preserved. The iron doors are still present and gives us a good impression of how these doors looked like. In general all bunkers had two iron doors with about 1 meter in between. Because of the vegitation on the bunker the shutters are not visible. The bunkers is at located at the eastsise of the site.
The bunker is camouflaged in a red colour. Most of the houses in this region of Wallon are build with red bricks ore are painted red. Because of the red colour the bunker would nog stand out.
