Bunker Ag 2 Argenteau

This bunker is known as Ag2, Argenteau 2 from the 3rd line of defense around the city of Liège. The lines of defense are known as 'La Position Fortifiée de Liège" (PFL 3). The bunkers were build around 1934-35.

The sector of Argenteau consisted of 10 bunkers of which 7 survived in time.

La Position Fortifiée de Liège can be translated as "the location of fortifcations of Liège". The PFL consists of 4 lines of forts and bunkers in defence for the city of Liège.

This is the 2nd bunker form the sector of the village of Argenteau. This sector is lilmited by bunker Vi1 of the nearby sector of the town of Visé, Unfortunately bunker Ag10 which was about 300 m. distance of Vi1 is demolished after the war. The first bunker in this sector would be bunker Ag1. This bunker is located 500 meters to the south-westside of bunker Ag2 and is the larger type of bunker. On the southside of sector Agenteau is limited bij the sector Barchon-Meuse (BM) of the 2nd line of defense (PLF 2) consisting of 6 bunkers.

Bunker Ag2 is a small type bunker (square shaped) and is located at the end of a pear orchard. The bunker is used as a storage by the landowner.
