Museum HMS Caroline

Museum HMS Caroline is a "C" class light cruiser launched in 1914, the only ship still afloat that fought at the battle of Jutland and on decommissioning in 2011 was the second oldest ship in Royal Navy service after HMS Victory.
She fought as part of the Fourth Light Cruiser Squadron during the Battle of Jutland 31 May-1 Jun 1916.
She was put into reserve in Belfast in 1924 and became headquarters of the RNVR Ulster Division. During WW2, Caroline served as the Royal Navy's HQ in Belfast which developed into a major base supporting the Atlantic and Arctic convoys.
After decommissioning in 2011, HMS Caroline was preserved as a museum with the help of Heritage Lottery funding under the National Museum of the Royal Navy.
