Memorial Executed French 24 August 1914 Gomery

Monument in memory of the French who were executed by the Germans at the entrance of the cemetery in Gomery.
On 24 August 1914, German troops invaded Gomery and set the village on fire. The French army aid stations were destroyed by fire and all the wounded were killed. The French doctors and stretcher bearers were taken to the cemetery to be executed.
