Monument to 2 fallen soldiers from the fort Tancrémont (which is located between Pepinster and Baneux) but who were killed on this site on May 13th, 1940.

Soldier Monville and Private Huysmans were killed in an attack on one of the nearby bunker Vesdre.

MONVILLE Clément, age 21, soldier with the Regiment Fortifiée de Liége (RFL) , killed on May 22nd, 1940. He is buried in Wegnez cemetery.

HUYSMANS Pierre, age 19 !, soldier with the Regiment Fortifiée de Liége (RFL), killed on May 15th, 1940.

Strange that the monument mentions the date of May 13, 1940.
