During the Croatian War of Independence between 1991 and 1995, the city of Dubrovnik was besieged and bombed by the Yugoslav army. The historic city center, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list, was severely damaged. This plaque on the facade reminds of the horrors that the residents endured during the bombing of December 6, 1991.
