Vice Admiral Sir Samuel Hood, 27 November 1762-24th December 1814
Served in the Royal Navy between 1776 -1814. Commanded HMS Juno, HMS Aigle, HMS Zealous, HMS Venerable, East Indies Station and Leeward Islands Station.
Fought at the First Battle of Ushant (1778), Battle of the Saintes (1782) and Battle of the Nile (1798)
