Bunker CF 5-2 Neufcour

This is bunker CF 5-2.

The bunker is part of bunker CF 5 from the sector of Chaudfontaine-Fléron from de 2nd line of defense for the city of Liège (la Position Fortifiée de Liège, PFL 2). The bunker is part of the defense for the nearby forts of Chaudfontaine and Fléron.

This bunker and CF 5-2 are the second line of bunkers within this sector.

The bunker is located at the end of a farmers field and is almost not visible. It had many overgrowth with ivy and shrubs. Due to bad terain conditions it was not possible to get on the other side of the bunker. It was not possible to establish of there were gunopenings on that side. Probably because of the type, the bunker would be equiped with gunopenings.

After the war when the came out of use the iron shutters and doors were sold as scrap. After the years have passed, the entrance has been buried with soil.
