Monument in memory of the victims of the Courcelles massacre on 18 August 1944. The Courcelles massacre involved the killing of nineteen civilians by Rexists on the morning of 18 August in Courcelles, in revenge for the killing of the Rexist mayor of Charleroi by the Belgian Resistance
This monument was erected on the spot where the bodies of most of the victims were left by the murderers.
